One Picture World | Hospitals, Bridges, Water Plants and Power Plants Hit: U.S. and Iran Test the Red Line by Striking Civilian Facilities

In the past two weeks, U.S. forces have repeatedly struck Iran, expanding the scope of attacks from military targets to key civilian infrastructure including ports, bridges, power facilities, energy installations and seawater-desalination plants. On July 22, U.S. President Donald Trump again threatened to bomb Iranian civilian facilities, saying the United States would destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant each time Iran fired on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran, in turn, warned that it would retaliate against infrastructure and bridges in the region if the United States attacked its bridges or power stations.
