China Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lue stated that on the morning of July 21, out of humanitarian considerations, the Chinese side permitted the Philippine side to transfer wounded personnel from the illegally "grounded" No. 57 vessel at Ren'ai Reef to the Philippine Coast Guard vessel 9702, using a shipborne small boat for the transfer. The China Coast Guard verified and confirmed the Philippine vessels and supervised the entire process. The China Coast Guard will continue to carry out rights-protection and law-enforcement operations in accordance with the law in the waters of Ren'ai Reef and its vicinity, safeguarding national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
