In the first half of 2026, discipline inspection and supervision agencies across China received 2.188 million petitions and reports, including 562,000 accusations and complaints. They processed 1.274 million leads on suspected violations and opened 538,000 cases for investigation. Among those placed under investigation were 50 officials at the provincial-ministerial level or above, 2,773 officials at the department-bureau level, 23,000 officials at the county-division level, and 75,000 officials at the township-section level; cases were also opened against 54,000 serving or former village Party branch secretaries and village committee directors. A total of 412,000 people received disciplinary punishment, including 307,000 given Party disciplinary penalties and 134,000 given government administrative sanctions. Those punished included 74 officials at the provincial-ministerial level or above, 2,274 at the department-bureau level, 18,000 at the county-division level, 56,000 at the township-section level, 56,000 ordinary functionaries, and 280,000 other personnel from rural areas, enterprises and elsewhere.

In the first half of 2026, discipline inspection and supervision agencies nationwide applied the "four forms" of discipline enforcement to criticize, educate or otherwise deal with 843,000 person-instances. Of these, the first form—criticism and education—was applied in 424,000 instances, accounting for 50.4% of the total; the second form was applied in 341,000 instances, or 40.4%; the third form in 41,000 instances, or 4.9%; and the fourth form in 36,000 instances, or 4.3%.

Upholding the principle of investigating both bribe-takers and bribe-givers, the agencies opened cases against 19,000 bribe-givers and transferred 1,938 of them to procuratorial organs.
