Guangdong Provincial Meteorological Bureau Forecast
June 23-25
Most of Guangdong will be partly cloudy
Thunderstorms will gradually become more apparent
Locally heavy rainfall expected
Accompanied by gale-force winds around level 8
Temperatures above 35°C becoming increasingly widespread
According to @GuangdongWeather,
This year's 7th typhoon, "Meari" ("Mikira"), strengthened into a super typhoon around 11:00 on June 22.
At 17:00 on the 22nd, its center was located on the Northwest Pacific Ocean approximately 740 km east-southeast of Taiwan's Eluanbi, at 18.0°N, 126.6°E, with maximum sustained winds of 16-level (55 m/s), minimum central pressure of 930 hPa, gale-force wind radius of 170-240 km, storm-force wind radius of 120-140 km, and hurricane-force wind radius of 80 km.
It is forecast to move west-northwest at 10-15 km/h, maintaining or slightly increasing strength, gradually approaching the southeastern waters of Taiwan, then turning northeast on June 24 with gradual weakening.
Before June 25, there will be no direct impact on Guangdong's land and sea areas.
However, due to Typhoon Meari's interception of moisture,
Guangdong's rainfall will not be as widespread or persistent as the previous round, while temperatures above 35°C will become more pronounced.

White gourd 500g, Cowpeas 50-100g, Pork shank bones 500g, Ginger 3 large slices (about 10g), Salt to taste

- Add all ingredients except white gourd to an earthenware pot with adequate water. Bring to a boil on high heat, then simmer on low for 1 hour.
- When the soup turns slightly white and pork bone aroma emerges, add white gourd chunks and continue simmering on low for 30 minutes. Season with salt to taste and serve.
Benefits:
Suitable for healthy individuals; those experiencing summer damp-heat (body heat, thirst, heavy-headedness, dark urine), spleen-stomach dampness (poor appetite, abdominal fullness, sticky stools), excessive summer sweating, fatigue and weakness, and those with damp-heat constitution.
