Henan Province Upgrades Investigation into Frozen Goods Seizure in Biyang County, Zhumadian

Today, reporters learned from relevant Henan authorities that in response to the incident of "21 trucks of frozen goods being seized after deviating from their cross-provincial route," the Henan Provincial Government has established a provincial-level task force composed of market regulation, public security, disciplinary inspection, and other departments. The task force is tasked with investigating the "frozen goods seizure" issue in Biyang County, Zhumadian City and other areas, strictly punishing illegal and criminal activities in accordance with the law, and holding relevant responsible persons seriously accountable. The investigation and handling results will be promptly announced to the public.

Recently, the incident of "21 trucks of frozen goods being seized after deviating from their cross-provincial route" has drawn widespread public attention. On June 15, the Biyang County Joint Investigation Team issued a statement, disclosing that Wang Lei, former Party Secretary and Director of the County Market Supervision Administration, and Zhang Xing, Captain of the Third Squadron of the Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade of the County Market Supervision Administration, have been placed under compulsory custodial measures. The handling of other individuals involved in illegal activities and the disposal of the seized goods are also progressing simultaneously.
