Record-Breaking Drop of the Year! Oil Prices Cut Tonight, Saving 37.5 Yuan Per Tank

On July 3, the CCTV Finance reporter learned from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) that the window for adjusting domestic refined oil product prices will open at 24:00 today. According to monitoring by the NDRC's Price Monitoring Center, international oil prices experienced volatile declines during this adjustment cycle (from 24:00 on June 18 to 24:00 on July 3).

Starting from 24:00 on July 3, domestic gasoline and diesel prices are expected to be reduced by 950 yuan and 915 yuan per ton, respectively. On average nationwide, 92-octane gasoline, 95-octane gasoline, and 0-diesel will be reduced by 0.75 yuan, 0.79 yuan, and 0.78 yuan per liter, respectively.

A CCTV Finance reporter calculated that filling a 50-liter tank with 92-octane gasoline will save 37.5 yuan.

This price reduction window marks the largest decline so far this year. For everyday travel, a private car driving 2,000 kilometers per month with an average fuel consumption of 8L per 100 kilometers will see fuel costs reduced by about 56 yuan before the next adjustment window (opens at 24:00 on July 17, 2026). For the logistics industry, a heavy truck driving 10,000 kilometers per month with a fuel consumption of 38L per 100 kilometers will see fuel costs reduced by about 1,383 yuan over the same period.
