Ningbo Eastern Institute of Technology Announces Tuition Reduction Policy for 2026 Freshmen: 90,000 Yuan Off 96,000 Yuan Tuition

Ningbo Eastern Institute of Technology announced on June 24 the six major highlights of its 2026 undergraduate admissions. Among them, the school stated that it will provide a four-year special tuition reduction for the 2026 incoming undergraduate class. With the school's tuition standard set at 96,000 yuan per student per academic year, after a reduction of 90,000 yuan per student per academic year, the actual amount payable is 6,000 yuan per student per academic year.

The university also noted that it has established a comprehensive scholarship and financial aid support system, firmly ensuring that no student drops out due to financial difficulties, and safeguarding the educational journey of every student.

In 2025, Ningbo Eastern Institute of Technology's annual tuition of 96,000 yuan had already attracted widespread attention. At that time, admissions office staff told the media, "We are a high-starting-point, small but elite school, a research university with very substantial investment. Our education model is aligned with international standards, and can be referenced against Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, so our fees are set with reference to the fee standards of Sino-foreign cooperative institutions."

The university also stated then that it would provide a four-year equal-amount scholarship for the 2025 undergraduate class. In this regard, the aforementioned staff member explained that since 2025 was the school's first year of enrollment, the equal-amount scholarship was a tuition-free benefit for the inaugural undergraduate class. Although it is called an equal-amount scholarship, parents do not actually need to pay tuition for their children, and the school will not refund fees in the form of scholarships. As for whether similar benefits would be available in the following year (2026), it was not yet certain at the time.
